Ting Skin & Laser Clinic review (Part 1)

Standard

Hey there!

As I promised in earlier post, I will be sharing my solution to defeat my worst enemy ever, ACNE! I’ve been battling with acne on my face for 10 years. 10 FREAKING YEARS! How on earth did I manage to survived that long? No. I did break down back then. Felt that I can’t or I don’t belong here, in this world. Oh. How sad.

Then, I couldn’t fight with ‘them’ anymore. ‘They’ are totally pulling me down and affected my life so I have to put an end to it! F*** you ACNE! LOLOL. No more battlefield I guess. :) Anyways, I’ve found this clinic like wayyy months ago when I was crying and choking (metaphor only) while on internet to find THE skin specialist.  After like only 10 minutes of searching at Google, I managed to find THE Dr. Ting. His name were flooded all over the search results. BINGO. I read all reviews on his specialties, his clinic’s history and so on. Then, found out that he has a website! I was like…

ahahahahah. I WIN!

Epic win indeed. Everything I need to know it’s in the website. Except for costs of consultation, products and stuffs. What the hell. Then I ‘deeply’ search again. This time, I found out the reviews on the total costs of the whole process. 1 of the girl blogger mentioned RM150. RM60 for consultation. The rest will be for pills and products. And then, I went…

lolx. I do not know why I like to use meme faces in this post. I guess only those faces could explain how I react at that time :)

I thought to myself. OK. It is worth it. So, I told my mom about it and she was so thrilled (thrilled than I am) and said ‘Let’s go’. But I have to make appointment first though. I called up to the clinic and this lady said morning appointment were full. WTF??? I called them like 9.10am. They open at 9am. FFFFFuuuuucccckkkkk. Never mind. Anyhow I need to see THE doctor. So the lady suggest to go earlier for walk in patients. Does that mean that I have to reach there before 9am? OK. Never mind.

Had to apply leave because I know it will take at least 1 day. From my place I have to travel by public transport to get to that clinic. Plus, it will take up your half day to wait for your turn i guess.

Then, the day has arrived. My mom and I started our journey at 7 something in the morning and reached to that clinic at 9am. See? Told you. I’m not living in Kuala Lumpur so it will take hours to reach to KL. As I stepped into the clinic, tons of aunties, uncles, young ladies, young men were waiting patiently. GREAT. So, they lie about their opening hours??? WTF. I walked straight to the counter for registration. There and then,

The lady: Any appointment?

Me: No. I want to register now.

TL: You have to come back at 1pm.

M: (jaw dropped)

TL: No appointment and walk in have to come very early. By 8.30am you are supposed to reach here. Can you wait til 1pm?

M: (Motherf***) Ok.

Anyways, here is the map to the clinic at Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur.

Direction: Like me if you’re taking monorail, stop at Bukit Bintang station, get to  Park Royal hotel then walk along the pedestrian walk and just walk straight. As you walk, you will able to see the Sakura Restaurant at the opposite. Then, at the opposite there’s a Roystar Travel agency too. The clinic will be at the opposite of Sempurna Hotel. :)

*Useful tips: If you’re not from KL, you can stay at the Sempurna Hotel. It’s just opposite the clinic. How convenient.

So, I don’t wait at the clinic for hours. I went to Lot 10, Sephora, Fahrenheit 88. :P Managed to grabbed some thing at Sephora. I’ll blog that later on. Then, headed back to the clinic at 12pm something. Luckily, I was up next. Went to the consultation room, have to wait for like 10 minutes. Skipped the whole waiting thing lemme introduce to you who is Dr. Ting :)

The doctor came into the room:

Dr Ting: So, what’s your problem? (in Chinese. very soft spoken. barely can hear him)

Me: Erm. Acne problem. (in English :P )

DT: Tell me more.

Me: Well, I have it since I hit puberty. I have major breakouts 2 years ago and recently too. The common place those acne will grow is at the lower part of my cheek. (he touched & examined the lower part of my cheek.)

DT: Yeah. I can see those are very big & swollen & deep.

M: …

DT: Those can be treated. You want to try injection? It will work faster. It will make those pimples shrink in no time. Then, you have to take pills and use some products. Cleanser, toner, moisturizer.

M: No. No jab first. I’ll try out those pills & products first thank you.

DT: Ok. Then I’ll see you in a month from now. In a month you will see difference at your face. To clear your acne, usually it will take 3-4 months.

M: Ok. Oh. Can I still put make up? ( i have to put on make up because the field that i’m working MUST put on make up)

DT: Can. Shouldn’t be a problem.

Then, the whole consultation process plus pills plus products costed me RM155. I know. It’s affordable. Told ya in previous post. :)

Gonna post 2nd review next time. Stay tuned guys! Do comment below if you have any queries :D

I love your blog on acne. It was awesome. Thanks so much. I have some ideas below that work great for me.

Here is a list of my musts and must dos for the at home fine tuning of the skin. I have the http://www.riiviva.com at home microdermabrasion tool. It’s magnificent. It also saves me $250 per session. I do the plum and onion recipe for my acne. I know it sounds different but a girl can never have too many ideas. I do the tooth paste dab for any pimples and of course the cool yogurt facial.

Yey, you have a new follower now. Thanks girl and keep it coming. GirlPower

Dr ting gave me a generic pills that ruined my face totally. My skin became super dry and it was disaster. It was really bad. Do not take generic pills
